The course introduces the concepts and process of launching satellites. It is recommended that this course be taken after completion of course C-2a (Satellite orbit fundamentals), C-2b (The geostationary orbit) and C-2c (Non-geostationary constellations). The topics covered are as follows:

  2. Launch sequence of low earth orbit satellites
  3. Geostationary satellite launch
  4. Non-geostationary constellation deployment
  5. An assessment

There are about 12 slides with a power-point feel. A switchable audio commentary is available in majority of the slides. There are numerous animations to illustrate the concepts. Windows Media player and Flash are essential to view the animations. Broadband Internet connectivity is necessary.
